Search crews continuing looking for a missing Cumberland County teenager, presumed to be in the Susquehanna River.
Members of New Cumberland River Rescue resumed their search Saturday morning in Highspire, Dauphin County.
They are looking for 17-year old Medard Kowalski, who was last seen Monday afternoon canoeing down the river, while hunting near his home. His canoe was later found with a hole in it. His backpack was also found in the water.
Saturday’s rain made the search effort very difficult, but crews are not giving up.

On Saturday evening, family and friends of Kowalski, along with community members gathered for a rally and to support each other in this time of uncertainty. The rally was held at the New Cumberland Fire Hall.
Those who came out say they just want Medard home safe.
“It’s the best part of being in New Cumberland, and we want the Kowalski’s to know that we are all family, we are all here supporting them, and we are going to be here forever, whenever they need us, we are here,” says Nancy Godineaux, who lives in the community.
Counselors were also on hand for anyone in need of support. Kowalski is a student at Cedar Cliff High School.
Sunday, December 7th will mark the 7th day in the search.
