MILD START:  We’re off to a great start to the work week!  Highs today make a move into the middle and upper 40s.  We stay mainly overcast today, with only a few peeks of sunshine in the afternoon.  Lows tonight drop to the middle 30s as our next system rolls in for Tuesday.

Expect mostly cloudy skies and highs in the middle 40s Tuesday.  Showers move in for the morning and midday with our next system.  Expect a few hours of showers.  We’ll taper them into the evening hours.  By Wednesday, the showers are gone and mostly cloudy skies prevail with highs in the mid to upper 40s before the cooler air settles back in.

LATE WEEK:  Cooler air slips in to close out the week with skies breaking for a bit more sun.  Thursday we’re near 40° with partly cloudy skies and Friday we do low 40s with mostly sunny skies.

METEO

WEEKEND:  The weekend features our next storm system, but we’re looking at big differences in timing and precipitation amongst the models.  Colder air will try to slide in from the north while warmth and moisture knock on the door from the south.  Right now, it looks like some rain and snow showers are possible late Saturday with snow showers into Sunday.  Much needs to be hammered out here in the days ahead.  Stay tuned.  Highs this weekend are in the mid to upper 30s.

WINTER:  Winter officially arrives on Sunday, December 21 at 6:03PM.  The winter solstice is when the most direct rays of sun are the farthest south along the Tropic of Capricorn in the southern hemisphere.  We’ll begin to see more daylight each and every day through the summer solstice.

Make it a marvelous Monday!
