HARRINGTON, Del. – A 17-year-old boy is accused of killing his father with a crossbow according to WPVI.

Delaware State Police responded to the Ramsey home on Thursday after coworkers say 41-year-old Todd Ramsey failed to show up to work for a few days.

When officers arrived, Seth Ramsey allegedly claimed he may have killed his father. Todd Ramsey’s body was discovered in a bedroom with a wound to the upper torso.

The teen told police he had skipped classes on Tuesday to stay home. According to the police affidavit, “He said that his father was in his bedroom from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Seth said that he knew when his father came out he would be mad so he shot him.”

The 17-year-old was charged with 1st degree murder and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.

He was transported to Stevenson Detention House in Milford and is being held without bail.
