COLD AND BREEZY

Cold and breezy Thursday

Colder and breezier conditions have settled into the region, and they stick around for Thursday. Some morning flurries are likely until about mid morning, mainly for the northwestern parts of the area. Otherwise, it’s more clouds than sunshine throughout the region. There’s not much change into the afternoon. Limited sunshine is expected with gusty winds. High temperatures are in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees, but wind chill values feel like the 20s at times. Friday brings some more sunshine to the Lower Susquehanna River Valley, but it’s still breezy. Highs are a degree or two warmer than Thursday.

LESS ACTIVE WEEKEND

Computer models finally seem to be coming into agreement with a storm system’s track Saturday night into Sunday. Clouds are expected to build Saturday. The system looks to miss us completely to the south Saturday night into Sunday. A snow shower or two may be possible, but this will not be a major threat to our region. Highs are in the middle to upper 30s Saturday, and near 40 degrees on Sunday.

NEXT WEEK

On Monday, a few showers will be possible for the area. A developing storm system for the middle of the week looks to bring a good soaking to the region. Tuesday, some showers are possible, but the day should not be a washout. However, Wednesday, Christmas Eve, mild temperatures and a good soaking rain is possible. Temperatures will be running above seasonable averages in the middle 40s to near 50 degrees.

Have a great Thursday!
