The Hershey Palmyra Sertoma Club threw their annual Christmas party in Dauphin County on Sunday for families who have been touched by cancer. Along with the Four Diamonds Club and Children's Miracle Network, the party is an annual tradition for young cancer patients and their families to enjoy a special holiday celebration, in their honor.

More than 300 families attended Saturday's event at the Hershey Lodge in Derry Township. Shannon Brommer, a mother with a child who is part of the Children's Miracle Network, says the party is a great way to lift children's spirits during the holiday season.

"It's good to see all the kids out here having a great time and they don't have to worry about being in the doctor's offices or the hospital, this day kids can have fun and be kids," Brommer said, "I think it's great that everyone is acknowledging what CMN and especially what Four Diamonds is and what they do for families and how much they really do help out."

This is the 34th year the Sertoma Club has organized the annual Christmas party.
The organization raises over $40,000 each year that they give to local charities, and families who need help throughout the community.
