MOUNT HOLLY SPRINGS BOROUGH (WPMT)-A 29-year-old man accused of breaking into a Mount Holly Springs home and forcing himself on a woman as she slept has been charged with rape, state police said.
Authorities charged Joshua B. Hileman with rape, burglary, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, criminal trespass, unlawful restraint, simple assault and indecent assault. He was arrested Monday and taken to Cumberland County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bail.
The incident happened around 4:09 a.m. Monday along the first block of East Pine Street.
According to state police reports, Hileman entered the home through an unlocked door–while the 53-year-old woman was sleeping. Once inside, Hileman pushed the woman onto the couch and raped her, state police said. Hileman then punched the woman in the face after he learned she called 911, state police said.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 31.
