COOLING & CLEARING:  We’re in for a pretty tranquil week with colder air slipping in to end the year.  For today, expect clouds to break a bit some pockets of sun, but we’re back to more clouds by evening.  A dying cold front over us and a system well to our south will keep clouds around for most of Tuesday.  Highs today top out in the lower 40s, with colder air slipping in for Tuesday.  Highs top out near 36°.

METEO

NEW YEAR:  Wednesday, the coldest of the air settles in with highs only in the low 30s at best.  We’ll enjoy lots of sunshine.  Dress warmly as you head out to ring in the New Year as temps settle in the middle 20s under mainly clear skies.  Overnight, we bottom out near 20°.  The first day of 2015 will be cold as well with sunshine and highs in the middle 30s.

NEWYEARS

WEEKEND:  Friday, we start to warm to near seasonal averages, with temps in the upper 30s.  Clouds make their way back through the day.  The weekend forecast is tricky as many of the models keep pushing back the rain chance and some are taking it away altogether.  So, expect a changeable forecast yet again.  For now, Saturday is partly cloudy with the chance for a late shower and highs top out in the mid 40s.  We tag on a few more degrees for Sunday with mainly cloudy skies and the chance for rain.

Have a marvelous Monday!
