Armed robbery in Fawn Grove

A robber stole cigarettes and cash from the fawn Grove Rutter’s Farm Stare early this morning. The suspect, described as a white male, entered the store around 2:30am. He pointed a revolver at the clerk and demanded cash.

He then vaulted over the counter and stole several packs of Newport cigarettes. After committing the robbery, the bandit fled the scene on foot in a southwest direction of travel towards W. Main Street. There were no injuries.

The suspect is reportedly about 5’7” in height with dark eyebrows. He was wearing a black jacket or hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and a mask that covered the lower portion of his face, dark blue jeans, and white low top sneakers.

The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop H York CIU is investigating. Anyone with information regarding this robbery is asked to contact PSP York at 717-428-1011.
