The 24th Annual Hunting and Outdoor Expo at the Lancaster County Convention Center is underway.
It's easy to learn a lesson or two at the weekend long event.
Dan Adler is the spokesperson for the Wild Sheep Foundation. He says, "Teddy Roosevelt had it right, he knew wildlife couldn't speak for themselves, and it is our role to make sure that wild critters have a safe place to live."
Adler's group organized the expo which includes 70 outdoors exhibitors from around the world. Adler says, "Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico and South Africa, We've got the globe covered really well."
Dick Rohrer traveled from Kodiak, Alaska with his guiding business. But he's not stranger to Lancaster County. He grew up in Paradise. Then he moved to Alaska to experience his love for the wilderness. He returns to the expo every year for more than promotional purposes. He says, "Conservation-the money raised here goes to wild sheep conservation, even though we don't have mountain sheep on Kodiak, in Alaska, I am a sheep hunter and hunted around the world for species of wild sheep."
Rohrer says it's never too late to find something you're passionate about. He says, "Find something to do that you love to do and someone will pay you to do and do it the rest of your life."
