PennDOT crews across Central Pennsylvania have been working around the clock to help make Monday morning’s commute as safe as possible for drivers.

Crews began per-treating the roads Sunday at 7:00 a.m. and will continue to patrol the area through Tuesday.

Before the winter storm hit our area, Governor Tom Wolf stopped by the York County PennDOT facility where he met with crews and learned about their equipment.

Wolf says he's confident the state is ready for whatever the storm may bring.

FOX43 also caught up with several drivers Monday morning as they began their commutes.

Many of them said while there were some slushy and slick areas, for the most part, they were pleasantly surprised by the road conditions.
