JACKSON TOWNSHIP (WPMT)-Three teens  have been charged with throwing pumpkins at moving vehicles in Jackson Township last year, police said.

The unidentified Spring Grove area teens were 17 years-old and 15 years-old at the time of the incident, investigators said.  All three are charged with criminal mischief, propulsion of missiles into occupied vehicles and recklessly endangering another person.

The incident happened on November 12 along Route 116.

According to police reports, the teens threw a  pumpkin through a windshield of a westbound 2004 Jeep Liberty on Route 116 near the railroad tracks.  The pumpkin went through the vehicle and exited through the rear window. Authorities said the driver suffered minor cuts to his face.

The next incident happened at a few minutes later as a 2006 Ford F150 truck was heading west on Route 116 near Cedarlyn Drive. The driver told police he saw a person in the back of a dark colored compact pickup truck toss a pumpkin out the back before his vehicle was hit.  The driver and his passenger were not injured.

A third vehicle was struck by a flying pumpkin three minutes later near Route 116 and Kevin Drive. The driver of a 1997 Jeep Cherokee told police the pumpkin struck his windshield, but did not penetrate the glass. Moments before his vehicle was hit–he told police he could see someone throwing pumpkins from an eastbound pickup truck. The victim and his passenger were not hurt.
