WAUWATOSA, Wisconsin — A Wisconsin hospital is using a new procedure to treat cancer patients — by washing out cancerous cells.

The procedure is called HIPEC, which stands for hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemoperfusion. Doctors pump chemo drugs into the infected areas and essentially flush out the system.
