A local man is in serious condition after being trapped between vehicles at a Harrisburg scrap yard.
It happened just before noon Friday at Consolidated Scrap Resources on the 1600-block of North Cameron Street.
FOX43 is told a large pile of scrap materials collapsed on the man, trapping him between a trailer and several cars.
Crews airlifted him to Penn State Hershey Medical Center where he is currently recovery.
“To the extent of his injury, they are still checking into that, as far as his recovery time we don’t know for sure yet how much it’s going to take. All I can say is they have good doctors here at Hershey Medical Center and they are really working with him to get him back to where he needs to be at this point,” says Art Perez, the victim’s brother.
The man, who’s name has not officially been released, underwent surgery Friday night for some of his injuries. He is listed in serious, but stable condition.
