Winter Weather Advisory for freezing rain begins 4 A.M. Monday

The National Weather Service in State College, PA has issued a Winter Weather Weather Advisory for Dauphin, Lebanon, York, and Lancaster counties beginning at 4 A.M. Monday and lasting through 1 A.M. Tuesday.

As a weak storm system moves in Sunday night through Monday, colder air at the surface slips in from the northeast. This will be strong enough to push temperatures at or just below freezing along the eastern half of the area. With warm air in place aloft, pockets of freezing rain will be possible through the day on Monday. Watch for icy and slippery spots during the morning and evening commutes.
