…A Freezing Rain Advisory is in effect for Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Juniata, Mifflin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York counties until 2PM…
WET TO SLICK: A storm system continues to slowly glide through the area this morning. We’re watching a spotty rain to freezing rain mix for morning and midday hours. Then, the colder air will slowly overtake the region, which will turn the precipitation to more of a freezing rain to snow mix by evening. What falls will be light and could put a glazing of ice on untreated surfaces followed by less than an inch of snow overnight. Temperatures start in the middle 30s and slowly drop to the upper 20s by daybreak Tuesday. Watch for fog and slick spots.
MID-WEEK: Expect mostly cloudy skies early on Tuesday with highs in the middle 30s. We’re just a tad colder for Wednesday with highs in the lower 30s under partly cloudy skies.
LATE WEEK: Another clipper swings through on Thursday, bringing back our clouds and a chance for some light snow showers. Highs are near freezing. The clipper brings a batch of arctic cold air for Friday. The breeze picks up late Thursday into Friday, with temps dropping to the single digits by Friday morning. We’re only in the upper teens for highs Friday despite the return of some sunshine.
VALENTINE’S WEEKEND: Another system looks to bring us some snow for a period on Valentine’s Day Saturday. Expect highs in the lower 20s with cloudy skies. Sunday will be even colder with highs only in the teens and winds making it feel much colder. More arctic air is in play for the weekend.
