THIS EVENING
Mostly cloudy skies tonight with just an isolated sprinkle or flurry otherwise expect dry conditions. Winds will be light to calm. Temperatures won’t feel too bad in the low 30s. They will slowly drop to the upper 20s but the clouds keep them from getting too cold tonight.

Evening Forecast
Meteogram trend

Highs will be early in the low to mid 30s. Winds will shift from the west to the northwest and pick up by afternoon 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 but in the evening the gusts become stronger. By 6pm we could see temperatures in the mid 20s with teens by 10pm. Factor in the winds and wind chills are likely to be running below zero by late evening. High pressure builds in to clear the skies out setting the stage for the coldest day of the winter season, in fact, the coldest day since last January 28th when we hit 15.

Hour by Hour
Holiday Forecast

Temperatures Sunday will bottom out in the single digits and only climb to the low to mid teens by afternoon. Of course factor in the winds, it will feel like it’s below zero. It will be a great weekend to stay warm inside and watch a good movie or read a great book. Sunday night into Monday morning will be the coldest by far and could come close to tying or breaking the morning low of 0 set in 1904 and 1905. Either way prepare for a very, very cold morning. Highs should reach near 20 by afternoon under mostly sunny skies. Our next system comes in from the south and may bring a wintry mix. Temperatures will continue to run well below average through Wednesday.
