Family and friends gathered to say goodbye to Millersville University Freshman Karlie Hall on Saturday. The 18-year old was laid to rest in her native Chester County.
Hall was found dead in her on-campus dorm room last Sunday.
Police have charged Hall’s boyfriend, Gregorio Orrostieta with her murder. An autopsy revealed strangulation as her cause of death. Police say Hall also suffered multiple traumatic injuries.
On Friday, students at Millersville in Lancaster County, wore purple to raise awareness of domestic and dating violence, in honor of Karlie.
Thousands of dollars have been raised for Karlie’s family and in her name to be donated to a woman’s shelter and an animal rescue group.
