A frigid arctic blast has left us dealing with bitterly cold temperatures and it’s about to get even colder.

Record breaking temperatures are in the forecast for Thursday night and Friday morning which could cause some issues for people in our area, especially when it comes to frozen or busted pipes.

It’s an issue that has kept heating and plumbing companies very busy over the past few days.

If you turn on a faucet and only see a trickle of water that could be a sign of a frozen pipe somewhere.

If the problem isn’t addressed, the pipe could eventually burst,  shutting off your water supply and costing you a lot of money to fix.

Some experts recommend keeping your faucets running, even if it’s just a small amount, which can help prevent them from freezing.

Another tip from the American Red Cross is to open your kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors allowing warmer air to circulate around the plumbing.
