FRIGID: Here we are again dealing with the arctic cold. We’re starting today near 0° under mainly clear skies. Sunshine gives way to clouds through the day with highs climbing only to the middle 20s. Overnight, we drop to the upper teens with the chance for some flakes as another system approaches. Then for Wednesday, we bump up a bit into the lower 30s.
REINFORCEMENT: Another wave of arctic air slams in for the end of the week. Back to single digit lows we go with highs Thursday and Friday in the lower 20s. Clouds will mix with sunshine both days. We may see a few flakes on Thursday too.
WEEKEND: Saturday, the sun shines brightly as we make a run at 30°. Sunday, clouds increase ahead of the next system. We start dry and end with the chance for some rain showers overnight. Highs work toward the upper 30s.
TRIVIA: We’re closing out the month on a cold note. As of now, we’re in the running for the coldest February on record in Harrisburg, and one of the top five coldest months ever recorded. Wow!
