HARRISBURG, Pa. - With terror threats in the United States, officials in Pennsylvania are taking steps to build on the state's security.

State and local officials met with the Directors of the Israeli Defense Corporation in Harrisburg to strengthen ties with Israel-- a country that has experience with terrorism. They plan to build on those ties through trade missions and the creation of a high-tech exchange program. Officials say this is also about making business opportunities for the state.

"Governor Wolf wants to make sure we're building relationships on a worldwide basis because Pennsylvania should be known around the world as a great place to do business," Lieutenant Governor Michael Stack said,  "and if we can build business connections and at the same time build better security; I think that's a really smart thing to do."

Directors from the Israeli Defense Corporation say they want to continue to explore ways to incorporate their homeland security emergency management with Pennsylvania.
