IN LIKE A LION:  After yesterday’s icy mix, we start today nearing the freezing mark with ice coated surfaces.  Certainly use extra caution today as you head out.  Skies will begin clearing for daybreak with a good deal of sunshine later today.  Highs top out in the middle 30s with a stiff northwesterly breezy shoveling in the cold, dry air.  Overnight, we drop to the middle teens as clouds make a return.

NEXT SYSTEM:  Our next system approaches for Tuesday afternoon.  Expect overcast skies with an icy mix arriving later in the day.  Highs are around 30° in the afternoon.  Warmer air will push north with the system, so expect the icy mix to switch over to plain cold rain overnight as temperatures bump to the lower 30s.  The rain breaks a bit Wednesday before another wave pushes up the chance for shower later in the day.  Highs push to the upper 40s!  Overnight into Thursday, the rain comes to an end as colder air returns.  It may linger as a bit of a mix on Thursday through midday, so we need to watch this.  We’re back to the upper 20s for highs.

WEEKEND:  Friday is a gorgeous, sun filled day but it comes with a dose of cold air.  Highs are only in near 30° after a near 10° start.  Saturday, more sun is in action, but we warm to near 40°.  By Sunday, we mix a few more clouds in with highs bumping to the middle 40s.  Enjoy!

DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME:  This coming weekend marks the start of Daylight Saving Time.  We’ll turn our clocks ahead one hour before bed Saturday night.  Don’t forget to check those smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm batteries too!
