People in Red Lion, York County say their street is so damaged from this winter, it's dangerous.

The 100-block of West Gay Street has a crack, with metal rods sticking out of it, and potholes. Neighbors say they see a big, gaping problem, that could lead to more problems.

"Does a damage to your car, big time," says Becky Robinson of Red Lion. "So very easy to knock out of alignment, break some tie rods."

"That could very well tear up a vehicle," says neighbor Thomas Steele. "I think it's been especially bad this winter."

There are potholes around the borough, but this area appears to be the worst. The borough manager says crews will patch potholes next week and fill them in April.

But West Gay Street isn't scheduled to be repaved until next year. That's because it's scheduled to have water and sewer lines replaced this year.

Residents say it's challenging to avoid because the road is narrow.

"With one side of parking and trying to squeeze two vehicles down there it just doesn't work," says Robinson.
