Police in Missouri have arrested a 20 year old man in connection with the shooting of two police officers.
The two officers were wounded during a protest early Thursday, March 12th, in Ferguson.
Saint Louis County’s Police Chief said earlier this week that he believes the men were targeted because they are police officers.
The Ferguson P.D. has been under fire since one of the it’s officers shot and killed unarmed teenager, Michael Brown, in August.
The department was more recently the subject of a harsh report by the Justice Department, which documented a pattern of racial discrimination in the department.
Neither of the two wounded officers works for the Ferguson P.D.
The officers have since been treated for their injuries and released from the hospital.
