According to York County 911, a transformer exploded along Springwood Road near Chapel Church Road and North Walnut Street around 11:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
The explosion caused the power to go out for nearly 1,100 Met-Ed customers, 300 customers in Dallastown have been effected.
Met-Ed is saying they are working on getting the power restored by 1:30p.m.
