PERRY COUNTY, PA (WPMT) Fire destroys a home in Perry County. The fire broke out at around Noon in the 7700 block of Middle Ridge Road, in Juniata Township.
The home was engulfed in flames when the first firefighters arrived on the scene. About 25 firefighters from several fire companies battled the flames for about hour. They were on the scene until about 4 pm mopping up hot spots. One firefighter suffered a medical problem and was taken the hospital.
The home was a total loss. A couple in their sixties lived there, but they were not at home. The American Red Cross is providing assistance. A State Marshal will investigate the cause of the fire.
