NORTH YORK (WPMT)-A 30-year-old man was arrested over the weekend after police caught him driving a vehicle that had been stolen in North York.
Andrew B. Mello, of York, was arrested Saturday and charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, loitering and prowling at night time and driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked.
Police responded to a call in which the victim reported their vehicle, 2004 GMC pickup, had been stolen from the 900 block of North Duke Street around 2:34 a.m. on Saturday.
Officers located the stolen vehicle on East 4th Avenue. The driver, later identified as Mellow, was apprehended and taken to Central Booking.
