Harrisburg gears up for annual St. Patrick’s Day parade on Saturday

HARRISBURG (WPMT)-The bagpipes will sound at 2 p.m. Saturday to announce the start of the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in Harrisburg.

This year’s  parade will begin at Walnut Street and Commonwealth Avenue and continue south on Walnut before turning onto 2nd Street and then onto North Street. The parade ends at North Street and Commonwealth Avenue.

This year’s theme is “Feed the Hungry” and parade organizers will be collecting food donations along the parade route.

The parade is sponsored by the Capital Region Association of Irish and Celts.
