YORK COUNTY, PA (WPMT) Smoke from a fast spreading brush-fire slows traffic to a near still stand along Interstate 83 in York. It happened shortly after noon. The brushfire was adjacent to the northbound lanes of the highway at mile marker 36 just past the Fishing Creek Exit in Fairview Township.
Traffic was restricted to one while firefighters battled the flames. The scene was declared under control after nearly two hours.
No word on the cause of the brushfire.
