Warmer weather means fishing season is here!

Anglers and kids are getting excited for the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission's popular 'Mentored Youth Trout Days'!

The first one took place on Saturday, March 28th at Children's Lake in Boiling Springs, Cumberland County.

About 3,000 Brook, Rainbow, and Golden Trout have been stocked at the lake.

Anglers and their Mentor can each keep a combined species total of two trout, at least seven inches in length.

The goal of the program is to have fun, while teaching kids more about fishing!

The PFBC's Mentored Youth Trout Days are held in 18 Southeastern Counties.

This year, it's been expanded to all stocked approved trout waters.
