Northern York County Regional Police Officers began carrying Naloxone on March 30, 2015, according to a release from the department today.
Naloxone is a medicine used to reverse the effects of a narcotic overdose. It is commonly referred to as Narcan.
The medication comes in the form of a liquid that is then sprayed into the victims nose through an atomizer.
This project is funded by the York County District Attorney’s Office.
