A shooting in York Friday night left a 20-year-old man wounded in the arm and a police officer injured.

The shooting happened shortly after 9:00p.m.  along the first block of S. Sherman Street adjacent to the neighborhood police outpost.

According to police, the victim Peater Grau-Lopez, of York was a passenger in a vehicle when an unknown suspect from another vehicle fired several shots at the car Lopez was in.

Lopez was struck in the left forearm, he was taken to York Hospital for treatment. His injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

Police say during the shooting a stray bullet entered the police outpost through a window, striking a computer monitor causing it to exploded.

The  officer did suffer minor cuts from the monitor glass during the explosion. He was taken to the hospital and later released.

The shooting is still under investigation.  Anyone with any information is asked to contact York City Police Department.
