Nearly five miles of U.S. 30 in York County will undergo renovations this week.

PennDOT will work in both directions between North Hills Road in York to Kreutz Creek Road in Hellam Township, doing shoulder work, base repair, milling, and resurfacing. PennDOT will also replace signs along the route and update the median guardrail.

Construction will run from Monday, April 13 through Thursday, April 16, with work taking place between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. each day. They advise those who travel U.S. 30 during those hours may encounter lane restrictions and delays.  PennDOT estimates this stretch of road, locally known as Arsenal Road, averages more than 45,300 vehicles per day.
