Los Angeles, CA – Animal control officers worked all day Monday trying to lure a mountain lion out from a crawl space under a house in Los Angeles.
The mountain lion was collared about a year ago and is known among wildlife officials as “specimen p-22.”
Home security technicians spotted the animal while installing equipment.
Animal control officers tried a few tricks to get him out.
They shot bean bag rounds and tennis balls — and poked him with a stick, to no avail.
They gave up for night, and when they checked back this morning he had left on his own.
