Some local design students brought their creations to life through 3D sculptures. Freshmen from Pennsylvania's College of Art and Design's 3D design class installed them at the Art Garden along Prince and Chestnut Streets in Lancaster.

The "tab and slot" sculptures are part of their end of the year project. Students were challenged to create 3D art with just flat pieces of wood. Students expressed their excitement to display their work.

"I'm so happy that there's a space here that's like this in the city," design student Seth Crieder said. "There aren't spaces like this in the city, and I really want to take advantage of it and it's even better to actually, while I'm building it, to have people come up to me and ask me questions about it. I don't get that opportunity in those walls, you know? "

Sculptures were set up for the day-- displaying the students' creative talents.
