SILVER SPRING TOWNSHIP (WPMT)-A West Virginia man was arrested Sunday after police said he stole hubcaps from vehicles at a Porsche dealership in Cumberland County.
Triston P. Perez, 31, of Bunker Hill, is charged with theft from a motor vehicle, criminal mischief, possessing instruments of a crime and other summary offenses.
Officers responded to Sun Motors Porsche located along the 6600 block of Carlisle Pike in Silver Spring Township for report of an active theft around 9:30 a.m.
A witness told police they saw a man, later identified as Perez, removing hubcaps from vehicles on the lot. The witness provided a cell phone photo of Perez’s license plate.
Police found Perez sitting in his vehicle at the Turkey Hill about a block away. He was in possession of multiple tools, including lug wrenches and sockets, investigators said.
He was taken to Cumberland County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 22.
