A York County priest now has a new title that’s taking him to western Pennsylvania.  Reverend Edward Malesic is the new bishop of the Diocese of Greensburg.  Bishop Ronald W. Gainer of the Diocese of Harrisburg announced the appointment made by the Vatican.

The 54-year-old has been pastor of Holy Infant Parish in York Haven for the last 11 years.  He also served several parishes in the Harrisburg area, as well as many local college and university campus ministries.

Reverend Malesic will replace Bishop Lawrence Brandt.
