In a press release issued today, Baltimore Police say they have received credible information that members of various gangs, including the Black Guerilla Family, Bloods, and Crips have entered into a partnership to “take out” law enforcement officers.

Baltimore Police say law enforcement agencies should take appropriate actions to ensure the safety of their officers.

Freddie Gray’s funeral will be held today after a weekend of violent protests in Baltimore.

On Saturday, a group of angry protestors destroyed several police cars, smashing in windows and slashing tires.

Merchandise was scattered on the floor of one 7-11, evidence of looting.

Windows were also busted out at several other downtown store fronts.

By the end of the day, nearly three dozen people were arrested and six police officers suffered minor injuries.

Baltimore Mayor, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake spoke out Sunday night, calling the violence unacceptable.

“We cannot and will not let a minority of incendiary individuals exploit the honorable intentions of those trying to exercise their rights,” she said.

A viewing for Gray was held at Baltimore funeral home Sunday, where hundreds of people came to pay their respects.

Several protesters also gathered there, holding signs to honor Gray.

The 25-year-old was arrested on April 12th and died one week later from a severe spinal cord injury.

At this time, it is still unknown exactly how Gray received that injury.

The six officers involved in his arrest have since been suspended with pay.
