OVERNIGHT
Mostly cloudy skies expected overnight as a stationary boundary hangs close by. There may be an isolated shower but most of the area remains dry. Lows will be mild in the mid to upper 50s.

ME DMA Tonights Lows

Front is still nearby and with the heating of the day, a few showers may be triggered. Not everyone will see them and they will be few and far between. Highs will be above average but a tad cooler.  Areas south of the front may be warmer in the mid 70s while north of the front, temperatures could remain around 70. Winds will be westerly around 5 to 10 mph. Overnight, front should continue to sag southward as high pressure builds in from the north. This will help to break up the clouds a little more and end our shower threat late towards evening. Lows will drop to the mid 50s.

OUTLOOK
High pressure builds in through the end of the week and into the weekend. Jetstream will be well north meaning a summer like spell for much of the northeast for several days. Dry conditions expected to end the week and into the start of the weekend. Highs will climb to the upper 70s Thursday, low 80s Friday and mid 80s over the holiday weekend. Mother’s Day should be mainly dry for much of the day and very warm.

However, daily thunderstorm chance will enter the picture late afternoon to early evening Sunday, then again Monday. Best chance for seeing scattered showers and thunderstorms will be Tuesday. High temperatures will be mild but not as warm in the mid 70s.
