WARWICK TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A 29-year-old man was shot in the face during a road rage incident in a restaurant parking lot in Warwick Township on Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Officers responded to the parking lot of Family Cupboard Restaurant and Buffet located along the first block of West Newport Road around 9 a.m. for a reported shooting.

Authorities said two men were driving separate cars along Newport Road when they pulled off into the parking lot of the restaurant.  The 29-year-old man was shot in the jaw during the confrontation, according to Lancaster County District Attorney Craig Stedman.

The victim was taken to Lancaster General Hospital and underwent emergency surgery, Stedman said. He has not been able to speak with police and is listed in stable condition.
