East Pennsboro police responded to three heroin overdoses in less than nine hours on Saturday.
One person died from the overdose and two others have been treated and released from the hospital.
Officers first got a call around 8:30 a.m. which involved a 21-year-old man. Crews took him to Holy Spirit, where he later died.
The second call came in at 12:30 p.m. and the third a few hours later at 5:00 p.m.
Investigators say the heroin came from Harrisburg.
In two of the three cases, the heroin was packaged in a plain blue glassine bag.
The other one, the drug was packaged in a white glassine bag stamped with RX360.
The investigation is ongoing.
