PHILADELPHIA -- At least seven people were killed in an Amtrak train crash in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia on Tuesday night, and more than 200 people have been treated at local hospitals.
Train 188 was traveling from Washington, D.C., to New York City on Tuesday night when it derailed in the Port Richmond section of the city.
Amtrak says it has canceled service for the rest of the night between New York City and Philadelphia. It's unclear what impact the derailment will have on Keystone Service Wednesday.

1 a.m. press conference
At a press conference at 1:15 a.m., Mayor Nutter said it's unclear if emergency crews have been able to account for everyone on the train.
Passengers say the front of the train was going into a turn when it began shaking.
The accident has been declared a "mass casualty incident", putting local hospitals on alert. CNN is reporting at least 146 people were injured in the crash.
Police are asking people to stay away from the crash site -so first responders can help the victims and assess the damage.
SEPTA bus service through that area has been suspended until further notice.
Word of the derailment quickly spread on social media, with posts on Twitter describing crews searching for wreckage and helicopters hovering overhead.
Video from CNN affiliates showed what appeared to be an overturned train car and people with flashlights searching the area.
The NTSB issued a statement and said they are "currently gathering information about tonight's Amtrak derailment in Philadelphia."
Amtrak said there were 238 passengers and five crew members on the train. Amtrak said "several passengers have been injured" and taken to local hospitals.

Gov. Tom Wolf noted he's been in contact with Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter. In a statement he said, “My thoughts and prayers are with all of those impacted by tonight’s train derailment. For those who lost their lives, those who were injured, and the families of all involved, this situation is devastating. I want to sincerely thank our first responders for their brave and quick action. I am closely monitoring the situation and I am in contact with state and local authorities.”
According to Amtrak, modified service will be provided today between Washington and Philadelphia, Harrisburg and Philadelphia, and New York and Boston. There will be no Amtrak service between New York and Philadelphia, but New Jersey Transit will honor Amtrak tickets between New York City and Trenton.
