HARRISBURG- A 15-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday and is facing attempted homicide charges in connection with the May 4 shooting in Harrisburg, police said.

Gabriel Holt, 15, is charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, carrying a firearm without a license, possession of a firearm by a minor, criminal attempted homicide, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being charged as an adult.

Officers responded to the 2400 block of Swatara Street on May 4 for reports of shots fired around 3 p.m.  A nearby school was placed on lock down as a precaution , police said.

Investigators spoke with the intended victim at the scene who said Holt fired multiple shots at him, according to police reports.

Holt was arrested Tuesday at his home along the 2500 block of Duke Street. Officers searched his bedroom and found a sawed off shotgun with an obliterated serial number, a 9mm magazine, ammunition, a small amount of marijuana, plastic baggies and $1,222 in cash.

He was taken to Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $500,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 22.
