Superheroes soar to the city of Harrisburg

The city of Harrisburg is being protected by superheroes for Memorial Day weekend.
The 1st annual superhero event– designed to celebrate heroes in our community, like first responders and charity organizations, who help others everyday.
Some more *famous superheroes also flew out to show their support!
The weekend includes art competitions, a superhero lunch, and carnival games.
Organizers say it’s a fun way to bring the Harrisburg community together.

Denise Britton, Executive Director for the Shalom House says, “All parts of our community come together and it’s a reminder that when the last cape is put away at the end of the weekend that we still superheroes right here in our city.”

The weekend also includes an *ultimate superhero party.. honoring fallen and wounded soldiers.
