Several Pennsylvania lawmakers are pushing to make the voting process easier for people in the Commonwealth.
State Representatives Kevin Schreiber and Ryan Bizzarro have introduced House Bill 13.
Under the legislation, residents would be able to head to the polls on Election Day, register to vote, and then cast their ballot; all on the same day.
Those who support House Bill 13 say the quick and easy process would encourage more people to register which would eventually increase voter turnout in future elections.
Not everyone is on board with the idea though.
Those against it worry about possible voter fraud.
At this time, 12 other states as well as Washington D.C. allow same-day voter registration.
Representatives Schreiber and Bizzarro will hold a press conference Monday afternoon at 2:00 in the Capitol Media Center.
During that time they will promote and educate the public on House Bill 13.
