DELTA, Pa – Emergency siren surrounding the Peach Bottom Atomic Station, in York County will be tested Wednesday afternoon, June 3.  The semi-annual test will be at approximately 1:00 pm.  Plant operator Exelon Generation conducts the siren test in June and December each year.

All 97 emergency warning sirens in the 10 mile radius around station have been replaced with new state of the art units featuring battery back up.

Located on the west bank of the Conowingo Pond, along the Susquehanna River, the stations two boiling water reactors generate enough carbon power for more than two million homes and businesses.  The reactors have been in operation since 1974.
