LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. – A Lancaster County man will spend the rest of his life behind bars with the possibility of parole for killing his ex-girlfriend.

Randall A. Shreiner, 58, plead guilty in Lancaster County Court to first degree murder in the ambush style shooting death of Monica Miller, 44.   It happened in the parking of Miller’s Ephrata apartment complex on East Main Street on Wednesday, February 18.   Shreiner, who was married,  reportedly was angry with Miller for breaking off their extramarital affair.

Shreiner, who lived in West Lampeter Township, turned himself into state police in southern Lancaster County the next day.  Authorities say the shooting was clearly premeditated.  He had legally purchased a handgun the day before the shooting.
