Cyclists in Harrisburg got a chance to bike one of the best-kept secrets in Central Pennsylvania on Sunday.

The 15th Annual Tour de Belt was held. It is a 20-mile loop around the Capital Area Greenbelt, a trail that starts in Harrisburg and was designed during the "City Beautiful" movement in the early 1900's.

It is one of the nation's oldest greenways, running through Harrisburg, as well as Susquehanna and Swatara Townships. The Capital Area Greenbelt has been undergoing renovations for many years.

Organizers of Tour de Belt say it is a great way for riders to learn how to navigate the trail and spread the word that it exists!

"We encourage a whole bunch of riders to come out and ride with us one day a year. It's our only fundraiser of the year, the community helps us support the trail every single year," says Jill Rondeau, organizer of Tour de Belt.

Pledges made at Tour de Belt will go toward the maintenance and protection of the trail.
