YORK, PA - You can beat the summer heat by jumping in the pool or going on vacation, but you can't always avoid it when it comes to wearing your make-up.

"Makeup products in general come in different formulations and textures," Professional Makeup Artist Carmina Cristina said,  "some of them are water-based, some of them are powered based, some of them are oil or silicon-based. So, you really have to think how the heat humidity will affect these textures."

Christina says the best products to use during this time of year are silicon or oil based. She explained that when they come in contact with water or sweat, their textures will not be altered, and they will stay on your face all day.
