EPHRATA, Pa. — A 13-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday after police said he pointed a BB gun at officers during a domestic dispute in Lancaster County.
Officers responded to a home along the 1100 block of Steinmetz Road in Ephrata for a domestic disturbance between the boy and his mother around 8:20 a.m.
When police arrived–the boy was on the roof, pointing a BB rifle, at the officers, according to police reports. Investigators initially took cover–but were eventually able to negotiated with the boy to drop the weapon. He was taken into custody and then transferred to a local hospital for treatment, authorities said.
Police charged the boy with aggravated assault and simple assault through the juvenile court system.
