Firefighters in Dauphin County are celebrating those who wore the uniform before them.
The Annual Dauphin County Volunteer Fireman's Convention kicked off this weekend at the Pennsylvania National Fire Museum on North 4th Street in Harrisburg.
Instead of a parade this year, local volunteer firefighters gathered for a 'muster' and checked out some new and old fire apparatus.
This year's theme is "Celebrating Firefighting From Past To the Present."
Those involved say it's a great way to catch up with old friends.

"We have stories to exchange, you know. Seeing old fellowships that you haven't seen in quite a while. I already bumped into a couple guys from the 1970's that were very active in Dauphin County," says Dave Houseal, Pres., Pennsylvania National Fire Museum.

The convention is currently in it's 97th year.
